Thomas N. Fischgrund, Esq., is the son of an army officer who traveled extensively while growing up. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia, Master in Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech, and Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law.
Tom has been licensed to practice law in the State of Florida since 1992 and in the United States District Court since 1993. His legal experience includes handling well over 100 adoption cases. Additionally, he has been on the court-appointed dependency list in Pinellas County, Florida since 1992 wherein he has represented parents and sometimes children in over 1,500 juvenile dependency cases (both dependency and termination of parental rights type cases combined), at the trial and, at times, appellate level.
Additionally, Tom has been a member of the Dependency Court Improvement Committee (Pinellas County, Florida), and of the Pinellas Family Law Advisory Group and Child Protection Subcommittee. He has also been on the Board of Directors of Suncoast Voices for Children.
Godly’s 6 years working with 4KIDS of South Florida and nearly 20 years in youth ministry, have developed in him the practical knowledge and leadership needed as Executive Director of 4KIDS of West Central Florida. Formerly Director of SafePlace, he oversaw the 24/7 Assessment Center for children about to be placed into foster care, and as former Director of SafeFamilies he recruited and trained a network of families who helped struggling families. His calling now is to help provide HOPE for every child in crisis in Pinellas and Pasco Counties, knowing, “The task is great but our God is greater.” He and his wife, Jincy, have two daughters, and are members of Lakeside Community Chapel where Godly helps lead worship.
